Broadcast audio technology specialists HHB Communications has announced the availability of the Mogami Cable for Life range of packaged products.
Mogami Cable for Life products are high-quality cables that are available in a single-cable package with terminated ends. The line includes a total of 46 cables: 4 x Reference Microphones Cables, 12 x Premium Studio Accessory Cables; 6 x Premium Guitar Cables, 3 x Premium AES/EBU Interface Cables; 12 x Analogue 8-channel multicore cables, and 9 x Digital 8-channel AES/EBU multicore cables.
Mogami cables are truly a ‘Cable for Life’, backed by a lifetime warranty. The cables and connectors are hand soldiered rather than crimped, which also means they are repairable. These are all made from Mogami’s bulk cable and assembled in the UK. The packaging material used for the packaged products is made from 90 per cent recycled materials.
HHB has also recently introduced the Mogami Ethernet cable drum. Available in 25, 50 and 100 metre lengths, it is flexible enough to lay flat on a floor, yet rugged enough for reliable performance, even with the frequent set ups needed in live sound and commercial venues. And it fully complies with TIA/EIA-568B Category 5e termination standards and performance characteristics.
The Mogami Ethernet cable is not a standard Cat 5e cable with a heavy-duty jacket; it is meticulously constructed to ensure that its four twisted pairs remain separated from each other, which helps to ensure consistent data rates, even under extreme conditions. Its durable construction also means that it can withstand being run over by a truck without loss of bandwidth. Supplied on a professional Schill cable drum, the cables feature Neutrik RJ45 etherCON® connectors finished with protective rubber caps.
HHB was awarded the exclusive distribution rights of Mogami bulk cables in the UK and Ireland last year and has already seen the product gain immediate acceptance throughout the recording, broadcast and post production markets. This is due in no small part to the strength, flexibility, low noise and ultra low-loss signal characteristics of the product. The new Mogami Packaged product line now offers the same high-quality cable in a variety of lengths terminated with Neutrik connectors, while the Mogami Ethernet cable drum is available in three lengths terminated with Neutrik RJ45 etherCON® connectors.
