Product lists can be submitted to HHB for a packaged quotation
The Avalanche is a 12-inch active studio subwoofer that complements the Unity Audio Rock and Boulder Active Monitor Speakers. Designed by Kevin Van Green, it features a downward-firing sealed cabinet design that extends the LF down to 30Hz with the -3dB point at 23Hz. It is mounted on 4 solid brass spikes to prohibit unwanted movement.
A 12-inch woofer is housed in a 65 litre enclosure, extending the low frequencies down to 30Hz with the -3dB point at 23Hz. Two transformer balanced XLR inputs are provided on its input circuitry feeding Burr Brown op amps for optimised audio signal as it passes through to the satellite speakers.
Two Rock low frequency custom E.A.R discrete Class A/B amplifiers run in parallel, providing a total of 150 watts. Volume control, a 180-degree phase switch, bypass switch, and a switched rotary satellite crossover frequency selection are provided, in addition to a separate custom power supply for optimised cabinet symmetry and balance. Two XLR connectors are also provided.
