The copper conductors of 2944 console cable are made of Mogami NEGLEX Oxygen-Free-Copper, making it well suited for the highest quality wiring of mixing consoles, rack panels, and studio equipment. The 2944 features XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene), which has excellent electrical characteristics and prevents shrink-back during soldering. A served (spiral) shield provides easier cable termination and better sound quality than a braided shield.

With a 2.5mm O.D. for space saving, the 2944 is very flexible, easy to use and has the same configuration as the core of Mogami standard multi microphone snake cable series. The additional drain wire makes wiring efficient, as it can be crimped by the same size crimp tool. The 2944 is stocked in black only but nine other colours are available as a special order item.
